Officers found Hall at a nearby apartment complex and ordered him to drop the weapon
He pointed the gun at officers, and one officer opened fire — but Hall was not hit
Video shows Hall tossing what appeared to be a gun before climbing a fence
Officers later used a taser to subdue him and take him into custody
LAPD recovered a knife and an airsoft replica handgun
Hall is charged with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon
An investigation into the use of force is ongoing
