Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told Tucker Carlson that many American Christians have been misled about unwavering support for Israel, calling it part of a “great deception” that is unraveling.
During the interview, Greene accused Christian leaders of being manipulated into promoting Israeli government policies:
“They’ve been completely brainwashed by this deception … their leaders are themselves brainwashed or paid … but they’re telling lies,” she said.
“It is a great deception … people are waking up to it.”
Greene also criticized what she sees as religious pressure to support Israel, claiming that some members of Congress are expected to publicly declare loyalty to the Israeli state:
“They are required to proclaim their faith and loyalty to Israel … both through social media … and talking in person,” she said.
She argued that this alignment diverts Christians’ focus from their faith in America, warning that political and religious allegiances to Israel can undermine U.S. sovereignty.
Greene further highlighted reports from Christians living in the West Bank and Gaza, saying many are suffering and that their voices are being ignored by American Christian leaders who remain uncritical of Israeli policies.
